Bestiary I - The book is here!

RPG-Creatures is now available in Print and as a PDF eBook.

This is what the 136 pages 'RPG-Creatures - Bestiary I' has to offer:

* 5 book exclusive creatures, which I will never post anywhere online, plus the first 45 from the blog, for a total of 50 original creatures.
* 50 full-page color illustrations of the creatures
* A thumbnailed interactive 'Table of Contents', linked directly to the creature images and descriptions, and quick access to the TOC from most pages of the book. (only in the eBook, of course)
* An alphabetical index of the creatures.
* A two-page text of introduction
* A two-page guide to the stats
* A well balanced lay-out and design (for a seriously improved presentation)
* A fine piece of cover art
* Three additional interior color illustrations,
*  One piece of b&w collage of creatures (sketches) that never made it to the bestiary. (eBook only)
* A hundred tiny and sometimes big corrections of language, grammar, and spelling (which now is fully American spelling btw, since that's where the biggest audience is...so far.)
* Many small improvements to, and corrections of, the stats of some creatures.

The eBook is available for $8.88 at RPGNow, where you can also check out a full-size preview. Link!

You can also pick it up at the Paizo Store: Link!

The printed book is available at LULU.com for $31.11 Link!
(Edit: Unavailable in print until further notice...)

The eBook includes two files. One with single page spreads, and one with double page spreads (for a more book-like appearance even in full-screen mode).

Customers of 'RPG Creatures - Bestiary I' may come to receive customer exclusives in their email Inboxes, so don't uncheck my chance to send you emails through RPGNow. When I do, it will be of interest. I have not decided anything at the moment, but it could be things like bonus creatures, links to free high-res versions of my artwork, or winning a personal art commission from a customer lottery.

That's it. If you want more - get the book! Otherwise, just stay put. : )

(If you have an active blog or web-page with an audience, and wish to make a review, you may contact me for a free reviewer's copy of the eBook.)

  1. Congratulation, really great work! I'm waiting for a printed book, that`s great! Most of your creatures are big ones, hope for some little creatures. Greetings from Germany!

    Thanks, greifenklaue! And many thanks also for the article about the book on your blog! That's fantastic! You truly are a 'Benefactor'! ;)

    And yes, I agree. There will be more small-sized creatures.

  3. If you go for a printed edition please consider using drivethrurpg's print on demand service over Lulu as for some reason lulu overcharges for shipping to the uk whereas drivethru's service prints in the uk has comparable printing quality.

    Awesome book though i'll have to pick a copy of the .pdf up once i get paid next so i can spice up my next campaign :)

    Thanks for the advise 'broken serenity'. However DriveThru/RPGNow's print service can't handle A4 sized color books, and I like to keep the initial design and lay-out. So, looking at the major print-on-deman services, Lulu is now on top...

  5. The goal is to gather information about the Medieval Bestiary and its antecendants, as well as related information on the Medieval view.

  6. Nicholas,

    I'm excited to see that you've released a book for your incredible rpg creature illustrations. I'm definitely going to buy one as I'd love to support you. One of these days I'll lure you over to illustrate my world, the world of Zenita, where my books take place. :-)

  7. Okay, so I bought myself a copy and went through all of the gorgeous illustrations. I love the introduction, by the way. You have a lot of wise and touching things to say. Surprisingly, you have a very strong command of the English language, a language that is not your native tongue. I find that equally impressive.

    Your writing and your illustrations further inspire me to keep creating. Best of luck and fond wishes for your bright future.
